Amarone - Trust an old friend

“This is not an Amaro, it is an Amarone!”: with these words the winemaker Adelino Lucchese, tasting this noble wine of ancient origins, gives it the actual name. Let's take a step back: how is Amarone born? A careless cellarman forgets a few Recioto casks which, thanks to this mistake, continued the alcoholic fermentation until the obtained a completely dry wine. Thus the first Amarone began to make its success: a dry, powerful, intense and full-bodied wine.

The commitment of ambassadors who immediately understood the potential of a complex and authentic wine did not take long to cause the boom in the consumption of Amarone around the 90s: far from a fashion, today Amarone remains one of the most representative reds and appreciated wines in Italy. Falling in love with it is always possible for the soft tannins and inviting aromas, for the character and personality deriving from a condensation of flavors with a solid and marked identity. The perfect wine for important dishes, such as roasts, game and mushrooms. An aggregating wine to celebrate important occasions, but which lends itself well to meditation wine due to its heady, compact and intimate charge.
