Chardonnay

If we talk about the most famous and widespread white grape variety in the world, we certainly refer to Chardonnay. Capable of producing a wine of extraordinary quality, Chardonnay remains, above all in evolution, a versatile and promising emblem for composing pure wines and intriguing blends with extreme charm. The close relationship with France, to which the Burgundy wine tradition has always delivered admirable masterpieces, has not prevented this variety from being bred also in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile. Italy also welcomed it from time as a valid expression of a generous and adaptable wine, led to express itself in different ways without losing charm and elegance.

Climates and latitudes of various types make Chardonnay safe and broad, qualified to produce fresh, subtle and essential wines as in the Chablis region, but also rich and almost opulent wines as in the case of California and Sicily. Furthermore, the aging in wood, so decisive for the success of Burgundy , configures a true production style and almost a vocation to obtain the maximum organoleptic expression in refined wines with great personality such as the examples produced in Mâconnais and in the Côte de Beaune: these are the wines in which tropical fruits and woody notes of nuts such as almond and hazelnut meet the toasting of barrels for a more integrated and complex flavor. From the fresh and floral bouquet, to the notes of ripe fruit, in short , Chardonnay is so versatile that it really pleases everyone.
