Lucano
Amaro Lucano is the product of a secret recipe created in 1894 by Cavaliere Pasquale Vena in the laboratory of his biscuit factory, in Pisticci Scalo di Matera, in Basilicata. The liqueur immediately became emblematic, known and appreciated throughout Italy to the point of reaching royal families such as the House of Savoy. It will then be the 50s, which will see Leonardo and Giuseppe Vena, the sons of the producer, as protagonists, to mark the turning point for the company, which in these years has become a real industrial reality. The 60s and 70s will see them engaged in important advertising campaigns, which will culminate in the 80s in the legendary advertising with the famous claim: "What more do you want from life? A Lucan!" The recipe is still secret today and consists of over 30 herbs selected and dried using natural methods, to which additional ingredients are added for a liqueur that will be left to mature for 5 months.
