Among the many wines produced on the estate, the audacious Leonia Brut certainly stands out, a Classic Method made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes with 36 months of aging on the lees. A gritty sparkling wine, of a beautiful straw yellow and with a fine and intriguing perlage that reveals citrus and floral scents to the nose before covering the palate with references to toast, fine pastries and dried fruit. In addition, great freshness and creaminess reveal a long and persistent finish for a wine to try absolutely.
Pomino Brut DOC Leonia 2017 Frescobaldi
The Leonia Classic Method Pomino Brut was born in the Castello Pomino di Frescobaldi estate, located in the province of Florence.
It is mainly produced with Chardonnay grapes and with small additions of Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. After the classic vinification processes, the second fermentation takes place by refermentation in the bottle, according to the Classic Method, with aging on its own yeasts.
